OUR STORY

Kasi I.’s culinary career started at age 5, beginning as her beloved grandmother's kitchen assistant (and voyeur), in Washington Heights, not too far from her own home in Sugar Hill, both in Manhattan's uptown neighborhood just north of Harlem. From baking her famous sweet potato and apple pies to frying chicken and mixing a mean potato salad, Kasi's grandmother, grandfather, and mother became the cornerstones of her culinary foundation. With family secrets of the trade, a long history of eating and watching the making of pizza all over New York, and efforts in perfecting a pizza that encompasses the spirit and flavors of the best, we bring you birthed from history, time, love, and clean ingredients, Apple Pie Co. Apple Pie was Kasi's nickname growing up, and our company name carries the honor of her family that blessed her.
